Complaints vs Good Things

So, I've found some things to complain about today:
  1. I hate being sick. Especially when I'm pregnant. I can't sit for too long because it makes my back hurt. If I lay down for too long, then my back hurts. If I stand for too long, then I get tired, my feet swell, and my back hurts. I can't pop my back, because there's a squirmy little basketball living in my stomach that gets in the way.
  2. I've decided that big boobs are way overrated. When you have little ones, all you can think about is "dang, this shirt would look so much better if they were just a little bit bigger". Then they actually get bigger, and now I have cleavage up to my nose and nothing fits anymore. I don't know how you naturally well endowed girls do it, but I am ready for my "bee-stings" again, because I just don't know what to do with these things on my chest anymore
  3. I don't like that healthy food is so expensive. My doctor tells me that I should be more careful with my diet so I don't get too huge before Baby Girl comes, but it's so expensive! So what do we do? Eat Little Caesar's Pizza, Mac and Cheese, Ramen Noodles and cereal. Yeah, by the time I'm done I won't be surprised if I've gained 60 pounds.
  4. I hate it when people from work call me. It's never anything good. I got a call on Sunday during church (well, 4 calls and a text message) saying that one of our other trainers was sick and I would have to start her brand new class the next day at 7AM teaching something I hadn't even looked at in over 6 months. Then I got sick, but the other trainer was still sick, so I had to teach Tuesday as well. Now I'm home, tired, and sick.
  5. I hate when I have to get up 3 or 4 times in the middle of the night to go pee because Baby Girl decides to use my bladder as a trampoline
  6. I hate homework. Especially when it's a lot of just reading. Or when it's stuff that I already know, but I read it anyway in case there's something in there that I don't know.
  7. I hate being this gassy and having so much heartburn. Ugh.

All in all, right now I'm not very comfortable. But, because I don't want to be a complete Negative Nancy, here's some things that help me get through all the uncomfortableness

  1. I love feeling Baby Girl kick. Sometimes I'll eat something really sugary just so she'll get all hyper and kick me more. Last week we got into a little "shoving match" and it was so fun! It's amazing how connected I already feel to this mostly nameless wiggler when I've never even met her. She even pushed her back against the front of my stomach last week and I gave her a back rub.
  2. I only have 9 weeks left and am so excited to meet the wiggler. I'm still hoping she comes early, but either way, there's not much longer!
  3. I love when I have random friends call or text me, especially if we haven't talked in a while
  4. I love when Jon sings songs to Baby Girl - it's so cute!
  5. I love that someone at work bought me a Superman bracelet when they went to California!
  6. I love it when I can sleep through the night without getting up to pee 4 times.
  7. I love that after this pregnancy stuff is over, and I've finished this Medical Transcription class, I'll be able to stay home and be a hermit with my Baby Girl.
  8. I'm very excited that our truck is almost finished - this means that no matter which car I'm left with, I'll be able to take Baby Girl somewhere if I decide not to be a hermit.

Well, it looks like I have more good things then bad. This post just made me feel a lot better, really it did! I guess things aren't all that bad, but it does feel nice to complain about them and get them off my chest and then realize that there are better things. :)

Ty's Birthday and the Rest of my 1st Shower Pics

Okay, so for some reason I can't rearrange pictures on my computer since it's been fixed...It looks like I can, but then I can't. Anyway, here are some of the pictures I promised, and since I couldn't move them into the right order, we'll hear about Ty's birthday first!

My nephew Ty had his third birthday last month, and his parents decided to rent one of those inflatable bouncey thingies from Jumping Jacks! I didn't make it back in time for the party (because I was at my shower), but I did get to see the kids playing in it the next day! I guess they didn't have someone to come and take it down on Sunday, so we got it for the whole weekend for the price of one day! Pretty dang cool if you ask me! So here are some pictures of all of us playing in it!

I love this one of Makenzi and Rosanna!

Ryan was bouncing the kids on this bridge/ladder thing, it was hilarious to watch and they kept coming back for more!

Ryan and Jen

Ty and Malia

Cole was so cute, he was just standing up, and then falling on his butt and bouncing, then he would do it again!

I'm really not sure what Josh and Jon are doing here...hmmm.

I think that Jon is just trying to keep his balance in this one, or waiting for a kid to walk by so he can hit them with the blowup things...

Jen after a dive

Cute Malia running down the slide
Okay, so that was Ty's birthday, it was way fun and I loved watching all the kiddies playing in the blowup thing - definitely worth the money!
Now for the last part of my shower - if you'll recall, I was having issues with my computer the first time I tried to write about it, so here is part 2.

Yeah, my stomach hasn't grown in about 1 1/2 - 2 months, but my face and arms sure did! I know I'm all bloated, but this is my 6 month shot (almost 27 weeks)! I imagine January to be filled with excercising...

Here is the back of my diaper cake - so cute!

The blanket my Grandma Nielsen made and some cute onsies

Books, blankets, bottles, shoes, sock, Minnie Mouse - this girl sure is spoiled already!

Bathtime set

Julie had to make sure that there was one for her too. :)

And these are Baby Girl's tiny shoes! They are soooooooo adorable! I can't stand it! I know that it will be a battle in and of itself just to get her to wear these once, but they are cute enough that I'll make sure she does! :)
Well, that's all of the pictures I have for now, but at least I'm caught up! I should be getting my preggo pictures any day now, I can't wait to see them! :)

A New Plan is Falling Into Place!

So Jon and I had a plan. It was a good plan, it was a seemingly solid plan, it was a plan that slowly started to fall apart before our eyes. It was a plan that would let me stay home with Baby Girl after she came, a plan that included Pharmacy School, and a plan that involved selling our house and (possibly) living with the inlaws for a few months until Jon started school.
Well, plans don't always work out. Our plan sort of fell apart, one piece at a time. But after much praying, stressing out, a couple of tears from the hormonal one here, and fasting (well, Jon fasted, I gave up chocolate for a few days) a new plan in is place that may allow us to do all of the important things! Jon is still applying to Pharmacy school, but he's going to be retaking the PCAT in January (I think, if not then in June), and in the interim we'll be applying for all of the schools that don't require the PCAT. In addition, we may or may not be selling our house, that decision is still up in the air, but we might, however we won't have to mooch off of the inlaws, we'll be able to afford an appartment or possibly another house if we do move. And the best best BEST part, is that we think that our plan will let me stay home with Baby Girl!
So what is this magnificant plan you ask? Well, I have a friend from high school who does Medical Transcripting. I've been trying to look into that but haven't been able to find a lot of clear details on how to get into it, just that you needed schooling and training. Luckily this friend gave me everything I needed to know, and I just enrolled at CareerStep.com to take their Medical Transcription course! I was previously looking at Medical Billing or Claims, but I wasn't as comfortable with the school information and the overall information of the job, but as soon as Laura told me about how her job works and where she did her schooling and how she likes it now, I was sold! Jon and I both feel really good about this, now the only hard part is getting into "school" mode again so I can do good and get a good job afterwords! It's about a 4 month course online, though since Baby Girl is coming in December it might take closer to 5 for me, but luckily there are free extensions for up to a year for me to complete the course if I need them. Jon and I are both so happy that we found this opportunity and can't wait to see if it will help make our plan happen! :) (Now everyone just keep praying that our plan works! Oh, and that I don't get Swine Flu, because there's a possible outbreak at my work - eek!)

Okay Really, Pictures are Coming Soon!

Seriously, this time they are! One of my sister's best friends from high school, Brittney (Scriver) Miller, did some preggo pictures for me! It was so much fun! And I love that she wondered outside of the traditional pregnancy pictures, where it's either a black backdrop or a field/wooded area. We went urban style! We met downtown where there were some really cool walls and staircases and ally-ways. I was nervous because I'm not too great at taking pictures - I normally have one smile that you could just copy and paste my face from one picture to the next and it would look exactly the same - however because of stupid face-swelling pregnancy symptoms, when I used that smile I ended up looking like Pillsbury Doughboy's twin sister, so I was trying to go with more subtle smiles and serious looks and stuff. Hopefully I don't just look like a retard. Either way, Brittney was great and coached me on where to look, how to tilt my head and angle my body, all the little things that sometimes I just don't think of. Plus I loved that she would get really excited after taking a picture and say how great it looked - definitely made me feel more comfortable! And, from the few pictures that I saw, they did look great! I should be getting a CD of the pictures later this week and I can't wait! She's also going to do pictures for Baby Girl once she's born, so that will be fun as well! :)

Anyway, so I know that I don't have pictures NOW, but at least you know that they're coming, right? I'm also going to try (hopefully I can get some good shots!) and get a video of Baby Girl pretending to be one of those scary monsters that lurks in the swamps - you know, where you just see a little rise in the water and ripples and stuff? Anyway, she's moving all of the time now, so between the shoving matches we get into, she likes to drag her hands or feet or whatever along my side so you'll see a movement go across my stomach. It's pretty weird looking, but really cool too. Plus it feels funny.

And on a side note, my best friend Katie (the one who's throwing the shower on Nov 7, btw I still need some addresses from my friends *hint hint*) is working with a photographer right now doing hair and makeup for photo shoots, and in less than 2 weeks time, she will get to touch the face of one of the most gorgeous men in the world. Yes, I'm of course talking about, Johnny Depp! I am so excited for her and she totally deserves this awesome job (and opportunity!) and I just think that after the terrible year she's had that she deserves to touch his face. I'm not even angry jealous at her - admiringly jealous, yes, but not angry jealous. Anyway, here's a picture of him just for fun. :) Once I know what magazine the shoot is for (I think she might have said Entertainment Weekly?) then I'll post it as well as when it comes out so you can all see her handy work. :) Alright, until next time!

My Computer is All Better Now!

Alright, I'm in need of some serious picture updating! We just got our computer back from our friend yesterday, but I couldn't blog until today because Jon and I were out working on his truck all day yesterday! Sadly, however, my new computer is more advanced than I am. I was able to put pictures on here, but I wasn't able to move them to where they needed to be until I got to work, so I only have 5 pictures right now, but I'm working on it! Anyway, here's some of the pictures I got on - I'll update it with more later as well as put up pictures of our truck (we've made a lot of progress!) and my nephew Ty's birthday party! (Okay, it was the day after party, but I couldn't make it to the first one, but it's still fun!)

So for now...My first baby shower! Julie had the shower in her appartment (thanks Julie!) and it was small but still fun (thanks everyone that came!) and we had TONS of fruit with my sister's mini chocolate fountain. Yum! So here are some of the gifts:

Here is the AWESOME diaper cake my aunt made - she is amazing at these things - she even gave my sister a "Wedding Cake" for her wedding with towels and stuff. So cute!

Then of course we have some cute outfits and onesies. I'll tell you, this is going to be one stylin' baby! :)
So, I mentioned this before, but my next shower for the Hunter family is on 10/24, and this will be mainly just family and friends that I know through the Hunter family for this one. Amber has all of the details and will be sending out invites soon if she hasn't already.
For my high school and work friends, there will ANOTHER shower (I know, I sound spoiled, but the family ones are really much smaller, so it evens out) on November 7. My best friend Katie is throwing it for me, but we don't have a lot of details yet. She mentioned maybe renting out a place for a luncheon, so that will be fun. We'll have to wait and see where it will be as well as what time it will be at, but for now plan Nov 7 in the afternoon. This one we're planning on being a little bigger than the family ones, however it won't be if all of my friends don't come, so you have to be there. :) Anyway, I'll post more details when I have them, but again, if you would like to come then please either email, text, or comment with your address (thanks Heather! I've got you on the list!) so that I CAN invite you. Remember that I have almost no phone numbers due to washing my phone and getting a new one, so please don't assume that I can contact you. :)
Alright, well that's all for now. I'll try to figure out my computer again and post more pictures. :)
