Gardner Village

So in October I got to go to Gardner Village with my sister-in-law's Jen and Laura and their cute kids! It was the first time I've ever been there, and afterwords I found out that my ancestor (Robert Gardner) and his brother are the ones who built this village, which is pretty cool. I actually read part of Robert Gardner's journal (courtesy of my grandma Daugherty printing several copies and giving them to us to read) and he was a pretty awesome guy and I loved reading the story of his conversion to the LDS church and just his life. He sounded like someone I would get along with today, so yeah. Anyway, sorry for the sidetrack - the point is, that it was my first time there and it was AWESOME! Now because I'm trying to get caught up on a LOT of different blog posts right now, here are a bunch of pictures that I may or may not leave a comment on. Enjoy! :)

Hee hee, I want this sign. :)
Ready to go!

Which way should we go?

My cute nephew Dante with a witch

My cute neice Malia with the witch

Now some of you may not know, but my nephew Cole is Prince Charming in training - he hadn't practiced in a bit so he practiced with Sophia...

How romantic! (If only you weren't cousins!)

Sophia wasn't so sure about the witch at first...

But then she was mesmerized!

...yep, she's eating the hay.

Ha ha, Sophia's head was blocking Malia, so she tried to hold it out of the way! Too funny!

We fixed that problem in this picture though! Look at my cute neices and nephews! (And daughter, of course!)

There were witches all over, and you had to go around and check them off on your scavenger hunt and then when you found all of them you could get a discounted candy! The kids were having a blast finding all of them!

Mmmm...

I think she was a little overwhelmed...

Malia and Cole

Yep, I'm one of those mom's that uses the decorations as my own personal picture props. No one yelled at me though, so I'm not too ashamed. :)

And the pictures turned out way cute! :)

Sophie saw some ducks and was trying to get them - darn seat belts!

There was even a fishing witch! (Her cat has the pole, she's using TNT) :)

Ha ha, WitchyPoo... :)

Gravestone?

(Sigh)
Anyway, that's our trip to Gardener Village! I want to go around Christmas too for when it's decorated with Elfs!

Hunter Halloween Party!

We had our Hunter Halloween party over at my sister-in-law Jen's house. It was so fun to dress up, and even more fun to see all the kids dressed up for the party! Here's a rundown of the day:

Sophia was a ladybug - I bought her costume 2 months early at Costco and was so excited to have her wear it! Cute little bug!

My "Witch" of a mother-in-law! (Love you Rosanna!)
p.s. She just had shoulder surgery, the sling isn't part of the costume. :)

We had scary pizzas with icky toppings like Finger Tips, Scabs, Ogre bogies, and other icky stuff - so fun! :)

Kenzi was a cute little elephant!

Most of the families did a Toy Story theme! Here is Malia dressed up as Jesse

Cole as Buzz Lightyear

Jen as Barbie
(Not that she needed to dress up, but she did look AWESOME!)
We also had Owen dressed as Buzz Lightyear (but he got water on his costume, so here he is in his diaper) and Ty as Woody
Laura went as a pirate! Aaargh!
Sophia in her ladybug costume (yes, she looks drunk, but I swear it was only formula!)

My hott man as Indiana Jones

Me as Batgirl!

We had yummy treats

And we played lots of games! We did a mummy wrap game

And we just had fun all around!
It's a flying ladybug!

Family picture! (Don't mind Sophia's hair, I didn't think about what she would look like without the hood on!)

Another family picture. :)

Oh, we almost forgot to show Ryan dressed up as Ken! Yes, that is a ladies shirt with matching shorts and ascot!

Then we made monsters out of candy and styrofoam! They turned out so cute!
I love Halloween, and this Halloween party definitely was one of the best! I can't wait until next year!
