And These Little Piggies...Got Bumps On Their Heads!

So, funny story. Today Jon had to have his other toe worked on (for those of you that don't know he's had ingrown toenails for probably 5 years at least and last month had the nail on his right foot removed), so this morning in preparation to take him to his appointment I had to call my boss to let him know I would only be working a half day - since his appointment was right while I was supposed to be at work. Anyway, a little while later my boss called back and I was in the living room and my phone was in the bedroom. So I took off in a sprint down my short hallway to get it, and I think I stepped on my pajama pants or something because when I tried to stop and turn into my room I ended up sliding, jamming the toes on my right foot into the doorframe and falling into my room, getting a carpet burn on my knee. Jon was sitting on the bed watching sports or something and heard the noise and saw my face down on the ground and at first was shocked, and then laughed at me. By then I was picking myself up and holding my foot saying "Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow", and he finally figured out I was hurt, but even as he came over to help was still laughing and asking what happened. Jerk. ;) Anyway, so now I have three little toes - the three in the middle - that have little buises on the tips of them and the very middle toe's nail is all buised too and I'm limping and people keep asking what happened and I keep telling them about my embarrassing fall and then they laugh at me. (sigh) I think I just lost my balance because I was reading Breaking Dawn. (Happier sigh)

Anyway, just thought that I would share what a clutz I am - it's been a while since I've done something like that, so I thought it was pretty funny. :)

***For those of you who like my Edward picture, it's okay - we all act like 14 year old girls when we see that and we all stop breathing for a while until we can peel our eyes away from that gorgeous speciman. :)

Good Times as a Ninja

So, I've been posting more lately than I normally do. I think it's just because everything in life is just so good right now - even the house business I'm satisfied with. But I did want to give an update for the "Stupid New Years Resolutions" post I did in January. I've been running and crunching and eating better, (though none of them as much as I should!) and I have lost 10 pounds since the beginning of the year! I was up to 160 on January 3 (I'm not ashamed because it's my own dang fault) and I weighed myself on Monday and I was at 150! Holy Cow! I'm noticing lately that I don't have to pretend like my pants fit anymore, they actually do! And my wedding ring isn't cutting off circulution to my finger nearly as much as it was! (okay, that's an exaggeration, but you get the point) :) Granted I still have 20 pounds to go for my goal, but I'm pleastantly pleased with my 10. Anyway, like I said, everything is just going good and I'm happy and excited about life and that everything seems to finally be going great. Now if Jon could just get into Pharmacy School and if we could find a way for me to have a kid and not go bankrupt, then we'd be set! But for now, I'm happy, my life is great, and I'm so blessed by my friends and family. I know it's short and boring, but there you have it - my life is boring but great!

First Week Back and Oh So Happy!

So I've only been back on DIRECTV for 1 week and I am so much happier than I've been in a while! It's amazing the difference in how I feel, and I've had an aweful head cold the last week! (Don't worry, I'm much better now!) I love working on DIRECTV - even though it still has it's quirks, I just love it, and all of my old agents have been so happy about me coming back! Some of them even hugged me! One of them ran up and gave me a hug in front of my training class before asking if it was HR innappropriate. :) And the training is just so much more fun to do! I had to do some continuing education trainings this week, each an hour long, that normally would have just been boring for me, but I had so much fun with it! And I guess that some of the agents in my classes told their TL's that they enjoyed it and I've received some good feedback. It's just nice to be in a job I enjoy again, and one that appreciates me.

Not to mention that a certain person of some authority on Bank of America sent me a rather scathing and purposefully mean email calling out my credibility with a reschedule that I tried to do that fell through. He was a jerk, and it just made my decision to come back that much more enjoyable and solidified that it was the right decision. On that note, I'm glad I didn't leave Convergys to find another employer, because I have the best boss in the world and he really takes care of us here. He doesn't read this, but if anyone who knows my boss does read this then tell him kudos. :)

Just a few notes on some of the shows I watch to end:

Is anyone watching American Idol this season? What the heck!? Why was Alexis voted off!? She was amazing! Anyway, I was really upset about that.

Smallville anyone? I'm so concerned about Chloe and Jimmy, it makes me really sad. And I'm totally annoyed that Clark jumped out of an airplane this week and didn't fly. (Sigh) Maybe next week...

90210? When is the next new episode? I'm going nuts! (I don't watch commercials, I have TiVo) :)

One Tree Hill? AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! Freaking Peyton better not die! This episode made me cry this week, totally sad, and it better not end badly at the end of the season. :(

Gossip Girl - eh. Nothing too impressive or shocking this week, just the same old.

I think that's it for the shows I watch, but if anyone has any insight on any of these, please comment! :)

My House AKA: The Future Mountainview Corridor

Okay, so we called the UDOT person and finally got ahold of them this morning. Apparantly of the almost $5 million that they were granted for this road, it just barely scratches the surface of what they actually need to complete this project. This will be close to a $2 billion project! So they are using the money to start construction down in Lehi and slowly start heading north. This road will go from Utah county all the way to Legacy Highway - I believe. If not then it will go at least to Hwy 201. Anyway, so we asked him what the ETD (estimated time of destruction) would be, and he said not for at the very least 5-10 years! AAARRRGGGHHH! I love my house, I really do, but it's frustrating that they've been saying for the last 3 years that they would start buying property "either this spring or next", only to find out it isn't for a long time! Oh well, at least I can justify doing home improvement upgrades now! :) I'm trying to talk Jon into letting me redo the bathroom, and maybe paint some of the rooms again. But this also means that it will be even longer until Jon and I can have kids, because with the possibility of Pharmacy School this fall and a mortgage, we're really going to be struggling as it is, so I don't know when that will happen. Oh well, I've waited three years I can wait at least three more.

The other update I wanted to bring up is something that I am so excited about I can barely contain myself! I had my one on one meeting with my boss today (for the first time in almost 2 months due to schedule conflicts!) and I told him that I was thinking about applying to be a DIRECTV remote agent trainer (basically I would train over the internet and never have contact with my class, but at least I would be training for DIRECTV again.) He told me that knowing my personality I would probably hate it, and I told him that I wasn't happy on Bank of America and I really just wanted to go back to DIRECTV. Lo and behold, one of our DIRECTV trainers has been asking to go to Bank of America! So Chris pulled him over right there and asked if he was still interested, which he said yes to, and told me that he would make the switch! What's even better is that I thought it would take a while to get everything straightened out (a month or two at least), but I'm actually going back to DIRECTV on Monday! I am so excited! I'm sad too though, just in the fact that my class that I'm teaching now will be taking their first calls on Monday and I was going to be there for their first week and now I won't. They are such a good class and I've loved teaching them, so I'll definitely miss some of my trainees (past and present), but am so happy to be going to what I really love to do. :)

Anyway, that's the update! :)

Maybe Some News!

So Jon and I have been so annoyed with our house and when it's going to be torn down and built into a road. I don't even care that they're doing it anymore, I just want to know when it's going to be done! So we've been watching the website and news carefully, trying to find out how much longer we have (especially since Jon might start Pharmacy school this fall!) and we finally heard something! I guess on the news last week a few people in Jon's family heard on the news that Governer Huntsman approved the funding for the road and they all called to tell him! (Thanks guys!) So when Jon told me this I told him to look online and see if there were any updates as to when they would buy our house from us, but he couldn't find any so he emailed them to see. He got some automated response and then one of the head people there tried to call him but Jon was at work so he couldn't answer, and when he tried to call the guy back (he had given his office and cell phone numbers) the guy didn't answer. So we're just waiting for them to call us back again to see if they are going to buy our house anytime soon or not. I wish they would! I'm getting so worried about money while Jon is in school that I'd like to have the money from the equity so that we don't have to be so stressed out. Plus the idea of paying our mortgage with student loans just seems silly - it's just moving it from one loan to the other! Anyway, once we hear something I'll let you know, but I could be saying goodbye to my cute little house soon (hopefully!) :)

Oh, and we're probably going to get the internet again soon so I can actually post pictures on here! Yay! :)

And Then....

So here's what's been happening:

1. Last month Jon and I went to St George with our friends and family (Brian, Tiff, Josh, Amber, Makaylee and Melissa) and it was so fun! I would put up pictures, but somehow we really don't have any good ones. You'll have to go to Amber or Tiff's blog to see those. :)

2. Last Saturday (2/28) Jon and I finally got to cash in on those Jazz tickets I got him for Christmas! It was so much fun! We gave two of the extras to my Mom and Dad (which worked out because they celebrated their 25 wedding anniversary last week! Congrats Mom and Dad, you guys are awesome!) and the other two we gave to Brian and Tiff for Brian's birthday, since the other half of Jon's Jazz ticket present was to bring a friend. Jon and I went out to eat before the game with my parents, then since we were early we checked out the little shops and watched the Jazz players practicing before the game. Jon was so starstruck by everything! He would tell me everything about every player, coach, announcer, TV personality, and ball boy that was out there! It was really fun, and I could tell that Jon enjoyed it! :)

3. My work finally started hiring again (Yay!) so I am FINALLY in a training class again! I like my job and I'm much happier being back in the classroom. Still looking around, but while I look at least I'm not miserable. :)

4. I'm having a couple of parties at my house over the next two weekends. Not the music fun and games type, but the jewelery and stuff type. If you didn't get an invite it's because I don't have your contact info, but if you'd like to come or hear more about it then let me know and you'll be invited.

5. Jon has been traveling to Ogden to train DIRECTV for the last 2 1/2 weeks, and he's also been working a morning shift, so we never get to see each other. :( But next week he's done and gets to come back to his old job and old schedule and old me. :) I'm excited, I've been completely spoiled in my marriage and have never had to work the opposite shift as him (except for small periods of time), so I've missed him. :)

6. And finally, Jon finally heard back from the Pharmacy school he applied to! We don't know if he's in yet or not, but they called to confirm his application and to request an updated transcript (he was still completing one class when he sent them in the first time). They couldn't tell him anything over the phone as far as what his chances of getting in are, but Jon said that they sounded optimistic and he has a really good feeling. Interviews will be happening next month, so Jon and I will probably have to go to Arizona for a few days, then he'll find out for sure in May. I can't wait to find out! We really hope that he gets into this school because it's an accelerated program so he'll be in school for 3 years and have a year of rotations after that, rather than 4 years and a year of rotations. It will be hard, but worth it in the end.

Anyway, that's the update on me and Jon. I'll keep you posted on the Pharmacy school thing - that's the most exciting piece of our lives! Well that's all. :)

25 Random Things

So, I haven't written anything for a while and I know that all of my posts are pretty - bleh - so here's another random "bleh" post so that at least I'm posting. I know, still no pictures, sorry I still don't have the internet. :(

Rules: read, enjoy, then have a merry day. OR the original Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. -- choose the rule you like best! :)

1. I hate strawberries - they look delicious and I want to eat them, but when I try to I end up gagging on them and can't stand the taste.

2. I hate seeing holes in things where in my mind they don't belong. Like when you're cooking pancakes, and the bubbles pop and don't fill in - it makes me twitch and sick to my stomach and I have to fill the holes back in before I flip the pancake over. Also if there is an air bubble in lotion, shampoo or conditioner, and I really had a hard time with gauged ears for a long time, but now I'm okay with them as long as there's an earing in them and they aren't just flopping around.

3. I have an addictive personality - I was addicted to Ibuprofen in high school for a while (I would actually get mad if I went to take on and couldn't find something that hurt!), and recently was addicted to Cherry Coke (that sweet elixur of life) and couldn't teach my training classes without a coke in my hand or I would start to stutter and couldn't make coherent sentences until I had another Cherry Coke.

4. I once played Yatzee on my computer for 4 hours (see number 3 in regards to addictive personalities!)

5. I've wanted to be a geneticist for a long time, but haven't gone to school for it. I might still, because I keep thinking about it

6. I have a list of baby names that I won't tell people because I don't want them to steal my names before I can use them - which is still a ways away. (I've already had to cross off 5 because people took them without knowing!)

7. I'm still terrified about growing up - even though I'm already married and own a house!

8. I like Britney Spears' music. I like to exercise to it.

9. I really have none of my own artistic talent on my own, but I am a fantastic copycat!

10. I've always wished that I could sing - if I could I would have done a lot more acting when I was younger and definitely would still be persuing that now.

11. I have no middle name.

12. I'm really terrified of people and meeting new people especially - weird considering where I work...

13. I once was so frustrated and angry that my face when completely numb.

14. Sometimes I still have fake interviews in my mirror for when I win my fake Oscars or when I'm on a fake talk show

15. When I'm home alone I usually sing about whatever I'm doing really loud so that it's not so silent (my life is sort of a musical) :)

16. The reason that I am terrified of heights is because I saw a guy at the circus fall off of the tightrope when I was really little. It's the only part of the circus I remember, but I saw him holding the rope with one hand, and then fall, but I didn't see him land. Then the ambulance came and got him, and I've been terrified ever since.

17. I hate odd numbers, but I'm trying to just get over it.

18. When I go fishing I sing songs to the fish to get them to bite my lure, and Jon makes fun of me for it but when I'm not there he misses it. :)

19. When I was younger I wanted to try being a vegetarian - I made it through 2 meals and got hungry.

20. I love road trips and sightseeing and have always just wanted to travel around Europe and see everything there is, and go to Egypt! I love ancient Egypt and actually wanted to be an archeologist when I was younger with my specialty in ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome and Greece.

21. Once, I was driving my cavelier and was on my way to my house so Jon could paint the bumper that he just fixed, and due to a little oversight before I left (Jon forgot to check the broken latch) I had my hood crash into my windshield going 65 mph on Bangerter Highway. Yeah, I freaked out a little, but am a huge advocate for the "Big Nasty" sunglasses (the ones that make you look like a bug but are kind of cute at the same time) because I had broken glass on my forehead and cheeks, but none in my eyes! :)

22. Yeah, that cavelier, named Monty, was cursed. His name is now El Diablo and he's someone elses problem now ever since he bumped into someone and got totalled.

23. My new car is totally sexy, and is named Bruce (after Bruce Wayne). I love my cute Mazda 3!

24. I have carpol tunnel in both wrists, tendanitis in my left shoulder, knees that act up with the weather changes, and I used to have back problems that would pinch my sciatic nerves.

25. The only thing I've ever broken was my nose, and that was 5 minutes before a performance in marching band and it hurt so bad to smile that I was crying the whole time I performed and afterwords it hurt to stop smiling. Good times. :)

Anyway, hope that wasn't too boring for you. :)
