9 Months

9 months...you could make a baby in that time! Ha ha, I can't remember which of my friends used to say this all the time, but if someone can tell me then I'll give you imaginary cool points for it because it still makes me laugh. :) Anyway, Sophia is 9 months old! I thought I had already posted this, but apparently I haven't, so sorry it's a little late. (As I'm sure that everyone was so offended by my tardiness on this post!) Anyway, here's her numbers:

Weight: 18.2 lbs (32nd percentile)
Height: 27.75 inches (48th percentile)

Now, if you look at last month (8 Months) then you may be confused by the lack of growth in the height department, however last month I will admit, I forgot the number and guessed what I thought it was after and apparently I mis-guessed. Last month she was really on 27.2 inches. I just couldn't remember the numbers. Anyway, now that that's all cleared up, I have to give credit to this site once again for giving me the percentiles. I'm not sure how accurate they are after talking to some other people, but hey, it's something! :)

So things that Sophia has been up to this last month include:
  1. Crawling more/faster
  2. Taking the DVD's off of the shelf
  3. Walking along couches, chairs, people's legs, stair railings, etc.
  4. Finally getting brave enough to crawl on tile so she can crawl into the kitchen now
  5. Saying Mama
  6. Starting word recognition (She found a stuffed animals eyes after my mom taught her what an eye was!)
  7. Enjoying reading more than ever
  8. New love for Baby Einstein, Little Einsteins, Sesame Street, and really any kid cartoon - she sure loves the colors!
  9. Standing for a few seconds at a time all by herself! (Her record is about 15 seconds!)
  10. Exploring and trying to figure out how things work
It's been an exciting month for us, and right now I wouldn't be surprised if she started crawling by the end of this month! I've also started to plan her birthday party, which I am getting so excited about! And we have her Halloween costume already! (I just couldn't resist!) So just know that more exciting things are coming! :)
