My Computer is All Better Now!

Alright, I'm in need of some serious picture updating! We just got our computer back from our friend yesterday, but I couldn't blog until today because Jon and I were out working on his truck all day yesterday! Sadly, however, my new computer is more advanced than I am. I was able to put pictures on here, but I wasn't able to move them to where they needed to be until I got to work, so I only have 5 pictures right now, but I'm working on it! Anyway, here's some of the pictures I got on - I'll update it with more later as well as put up pictures of our truck (we've made a lot of progress!) and my nephew Ty's birthday party! (Okay, it was the day after party, but I couldn't make it to the first one, but it's still fun!)

So for now...My first baby shower! Julie had the shower in her appartment (thanks Julie!) and it was small but still fun (thanks everyone that came!) and we had TONS of fruit with my sister's mini chocolate fountain. Yum! So here are some of the gifts:

Here is the AWESOME diaper cake my aunt made - she is amazing at these things - she even gave my sister a "Wedding Cake" for her wedding with towels and stuff. So cute!

Then of course we have some cute outfits and onesies. I'll tell you, this is going to be one stylin' baby! :)

So, I mentioned this before, but my next shower for the Hunter family is on 10/24, and this will be mainly just family and friends that I know through the Hunter family for this one. Amber has all of the details and will be sending out invites soon if she hasn't already.

For my high school and work friends, there will ANOTHER shower (I know, I sound spoiled, but the family ones are really much smaller, so it evens out) on November 7. My best friend Katie is throwing it for me, but we don't have a lot of details yet. She mentioned maybe renting out a place for a luncheon, so that will be fun. We'll have to wait and see where it will be as well as what time it will be at, but for now plan Nov 7 in the afternoon. This one we're planning on being a little bigger than the family ones, however it won't be if all of my friends don't come, so you have to be there. :) Anyway, I'll post more details when I have them, but again, if you would like to come then please either email, text, or comment with your address (thanks Heather! I've got you on the list!) so that I CAN invite you. Remember that I have almost no phone numbers due to washing my phone and getting a new one, so please don't assume that I can contact you. :)

Another One of Those Nights...

So here I am...waiting, and waiting, and waiting. (Sigh) I'm so glad that both Jon and I are teaching classes at work - definitely makes work more fun when you can actually do your job - but since I'm teaching on a new project (United Health Group - I teach about Medicare and stuff, it's pretty interesting) I've been working a ton of overtime (eh-hem, unpaid because of stupid salary...), and then Jon is teaching his first ever Bank of America class (he's been working on that project for almost a year, but he's been running the transition piece where the new people get on the phones for the first time, so he's never actually trained a class there), so because of that he is also working a ton of overtime. All in all, we got here a little before 2 this afternoon, and it's now 12:36AM and he's still finishing stuff. In otherwords - I'm tired.

So I know that my last post update was not so exciting, and this one won't be any better, but at least this one isn't rushed like my last one. The last one I did on my lunch break when I should have been researching what I was going to be teaching once returning to class. So here's some additional information about stuff I've already said:

1. The baby shower on 10/24 will be from 3-6, I think. Amber is planning it, so you'll have to ask her because my brain is mush. It will be in Bluffdale at my in-law's house, and will be freaking awesome, so you should all come. :) I'm registerd at Baby's R Us and Target, and I have a few things registered at Wal-Mart but whenever I go into the store to get their zapper thing to add items to my registery, they don't have any zappers. This has happened at 4 different Wal-Mart's, so I'm probably going to give that one up.

2. Jon's truck is still coming along. On Saturday Brian and Tiffanie came over to help get the bed off of the truck so we can fix it and paint it easier, and we also had a barbeque which was fun. :)

3. My feet are always swollen now, and it makes me sad. :( Stupid swollen feet...

4. Jon is amazing and I love him. He works so hard for us and I feel so lazy all of the time, and I just love that he takes such good care of me and Baby Girl.

5. Baby Girl is kicking all of the time now! It's so fun, I love when she starts kicking me when I'm training my class, because it just puts me in a good mood - even if my class is being particularly difficult. :)

6. I'm excited for Conference this weekend

7. I miss hanging out with all of my old friends. We should do something about that - one of these Saturday's let's all do something fun - I don't even care what it is, I just want to do something.

I think that's all for now - again, boring, but I'm trying to fill up time so that I don't go crazy waiting for Jon. However I'm hungry, so I'm going to bug him again. Again, my computer is still sick and at the Doctor's, so once I get it back there will be many many pictures. :) Okay bye for now!

Sorry!

So I haven't updated for a while, and I've been getting some subtle hints from people (sorry Oralia! I'm trying!) so I thought I should drop a line and let people know that I haven't died or anything. Here are some things that have happened recently:

1. I had my first baby shower last Saturday! My sister threw me one at her appartment and I had a few family members there and got some cute stuff. Plus Julie has a chocolate fountain and we had a ton of yummy fruit, it was awesome!
2. I accidently washed my phone, and it didn't come back to life, so I got a new phone! It's a Samsung Eternity and I just love it!
3. The reason I haven't been updating anything is because our computer is being attacked by the anti-spyware crap and we can't do anything. Grrr. Hopefully should be fixed this weekend and I can post pictures!
4. We got our truck back from the body shop where they were supposed to be straightening the frame - they did a terrible job and it cost us a lot of money, but at least we have it back and we can fix it ourselves now.
5. Baby girl is kicking like crazy! I've now had 2 sister-in-laws and my mother in law feel her kick. She actually kicked me so hard the other night while I was falling asleep that it tickled me! Like when someone comes up and pokes your sides, only from the inside! I jumped up and grabbed my stomache and scared Jon half to pieces, but it was still fun. :)
6. As of Monday I am officially done with my 6th month of pregnancy! Only 3 left - scary!
7. I'm secretary in the Primary Presidency now - Yeah, it's stressful but I'm enjoying it. :)
8. I am having another shower on October 24th in Bluffdale, if you would like an invite you should probably send me your address and/or call or text me so I have your number. :)

Camping!

So last weekend we went camping down at Palisade Lake with our friends Brian and Tiffanie (and their cute baby Makaylee!) and Brian's brother Matt and his wife Kaycie. It was so much fun! Granted the heat made me swell up like a whale and I was usually too tired to do anything other than sit and talk, but I still had a lot of fun. :) Jon got a couple of good golf games in and he went fishing twice, so he had fun too. Unfortunately I don't have a ton of pictures because my camera is a piece of crap and tells me that the batteries are dead when they are in fact NOT dead at all, in fact they were brand new. And a few minutes later it realizes it was wrong and starts working for about 5 minutes again. (sigh) Oh well, so Tiffanie has all of the good pictures, along with the ones showing my whale-like state, so once she posts hers on her blog (eh-hem), then I'll copy them over. :) Here's the few that I got (they're all right when we got there).

This is Tiff trying to figure her tent out - as soon as we got there the boys bailed to make their tee time, so the left the lady with a baby and the pregnant one to put them up. Mine wasn't too bad, but Tiff's tent was confusing!

Don't worry, this isn't how it ended up, we eventually figured it out, but because Tiff's tent was so weird shaped and confusing, when we tried to put on the rain fly it was...a bit of a mess as you can see. :) And no, we didn't just throw it on for a picture moment, this was after one or two honest efforts. All in all it took about an hour and a half to get our tents up, most of it on theirs because we just couldn't figure it out and it was it's first time out of the box. Good times!

Well, like I said my camera was a piece of crap, so three days of camping and only 4 pictures to show for it. (sigh) Tiff, it's your turn so I can steal your pictures now! :)

Rooms and Cribs!

Yay! We're done painting! Now our house is beautiful instead of ghetto! I'm so glad to have it done - now we can sell it a lot easier. Anyway, here's some pictures of the finished product:

The other exciting thing is that my mom bought us a crib! It was on display at the Wal-Mart she works at and I told her that if she saw any sales on that type of crib to let me know so I could get it, but instead they had to get rid of the display on short notice and sold it to her for $50 off! Then of course she wouldn't let me pay her back, or moreso my dad wouldn't let me, saying that this was baby girl's birthday and Christmas present. I have such great parents! So they brought it up for me, but until today I haven't been able to set it up because the nursery was full of car parts and the weight set from the other room! This morning Jon and I cleared it out and put it together and I just love it! Of course I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of us putting it together, but that's okay because those would probably be boring anyway. :) Anyway, here it is!

Here's the crib - we don't have any bedding yet, but still - I think it's pretty. :)

Oh, maybe I forgot to mention it came with this awesome changing table!

AND a dresser!

So there's the whole set - it looks like a small area for all of that, but babies are small too so she won't mind. Plus I want to keep the extra bed in there so if we do have her in this house and I need to be in her room in the middle of the night I can take a nap too. :)

So that's it! That's our cute little nursery with our cute little baby furniture! I'm very excited to start getting more stuff. Who knows, maybe I'll even let people play cheesy games at my baby showers if I'm still in this type of mood when they come around! :)

Speaking of which, my side of the family people - Julie is throwing me a shower on Sept 19 at her apartment. She put the invite on Facebook and I'm not sure how else she's doing it, but if you'd like to go then let me know!

Hunter side of the family - Amber and Mary are doing a shower for your side in October (crap, I can't remember the date!) but we're going to try and send out actual invites for this I think. So yeah. I'll probably invite some friends to this one as well, but I know that my friend Katie wanted to throw a shower too (so many showers!), so I might have one for just friends then, but I'm not sure. I'll keep you all updated. :)
