Hello everyone! I've been trying to get time to come on here and post some pictures of Sophia for quite some time now, however instead I'm just going to post an update because life is very busy these days and I'm not sure how long this girl is going to let me type. So here's the update:
Sophia weighs 10 pounds! I thought she might be getting a cold so I took her in to get checked out yesterday and she weighs an even 10. So crazy! Oh, and don't worry, she might have a slight viral infection but no fever, no ear infections and she's getting enough oxygen so we're good. She's also been very fussy the last little while from a lot of gas, but I was told that I just have to wait it out. (sigh) Poor little girl. :(
As far as life goes, things are busy but good. Since last Wednesday I've been spending practically every night and day at my inlaws house so that I can work on my class. Referring to aforementioned fussiness from the baby Sophie, I haven't been able to get anything done at home, and with my maternity leave soon coming to an end, we decided that we finally needed to ask for help. So here I am at the inlaws - Jon has been staying home taking care of the animals so we don't get to see him very much, which is sad, but again it's a necessary sacrifice for now. I have just a few more weeks to get this class done so that I can start working from home - if I don't get it done then I'll have to go back to Convergys and try to find someone who is willing to watch my baby until possibly 2AM - and let's face it, that wouldn't be fun for them, for me or for Sophia, so we'll just keep trying to get this class done. I did the math on it last Friday and found out that I can average out about 10 pages of homework an hour, so if I do at least 8 hours of homework a day then I should get done the week before my maternity leave runs out and then I'll just have to get a job with a Medical Transcriptionst company and I'll be set. So everyone wish me luck and pray for me to be able to finish! :)
Jon took this semester off of school to study for the PCAT again. He didn't get the scores he wanted last time, so this time he's investing the time and money to get himself ready. He has several books specific to the PCAT and he's been studying almost as much as me! ;) He'll take the PCAT again in the spring or early summer, and then he'll be going to school for the summer semester and fall to get the last few classes done (every year they have more and more classes that they require...grrr.) So everyone should pray for Jon to do good on the PCAT so hopefully he can go to Pharmacy school in the fall of 2011! :)
Last, but not least, our animals. Some of you know that we have decided to give up our animals. about 2 weeks ago we made this decision, and shortly after my aunt and uncle in Boise took Molly to her new home, and we have a new home lined up for Ricky that he'll be going to in the next 2 weeks. The only one we have left is our cat, so if you know anyone who wants a very cute and sweet and cuddly 3 year old cat who's afraid to go outside during the day, then let me know. :) I already miss Molly and I know I'm going to miss Ricky and the cat, but I still feel like we've made the right decision as they are going to homes where they will be played with and walked more than I'm able to.
Anyway, I have a ton of pictures that I need to post, so eventually I'll post some of Sophia's Christmas pictures along with updated pictures of her, but until then I'm sorry!
(Oh, and if you didn't hear, Sophia is being blessed on Feb 7, so if you didn't get an invite and wanted one then let me know and I'll get you the info) :)
